We stumbled across this free aire, which isn't an aire as no facilities with overnight parking permitted.
The sat nav from camper contact details took us to a parking spot on the right but we needed to down to the left just where it is dead quiet (next to cemetery)
Bit of a tight turn on a hill but done worse.
It's a tree filled parking lot where you park where you want with cars. Early morning gave us a good choice and flatter at the bottom under more foliage, but this was our downfall here, we got bitten by something 10 times in 30 mins having breakfast. Easily resolved with some apisyl but it would put us off for the evening where we would want sit outside so we moved after lunch and walking round the town. It could have been where we parked, the time of year and/or the hot weather. We would return here but I would only near in mind the insect bites.

Now for the town.

How on earth is this not a beaux village. It has to be a political decision. Absolutely stunning. There's a chateau at 5 euros each at the top, but we don't do that paying thing !

It's about 6km from Bonnieux and probably the same distance downhill to the voie verte.

Absolutely agree; stunning. And I am a sucker for a Carte Panoramique. My iffy ticker took one look at those stairs and steep roads and wobbled a bit though. I might recommend something with Deet in it for the biting things but it is filthy stuff and ruins anything made of plastic.

We have the jungle variety deet that my Nepalese colleagues swear by when they were working in places like burma.

Our problem today was we weren't expecting it in morning. They may have been bites from ground fleas or similar. Disappeared really quickly with apisyl which makes me think not mozzies that still irritate couple of days later
