Found this place whilst researching and had to go there.
100+ sundials of all sorts of designs including sundials that work in the shade and they use a mirror to cast the sun onto a painted mural in the shade. Go to the TO and ask for a map of the sundials and you can follow it round the village.
Or you can do what we did and look confused as to how one of the more complicated ones worked.
Then a lad back from University who is cutting the hedge comes over to help you in perfect English. He explains how it works, then says he will get his dad ............ who made that one and about 20 more and is the sundial messiah of the village and he takes on us on tour of the village with his son as the translator and then we have a drink in his back garden (where there are another 4 sundials. There was a place to stay next to the polizei/gestapo/gendarmerie or whatever they call the police out there (begins with a G i think)
I would much prefer to return to here than Venice
