We may have made a mistake, firstly by using the cycle route from lourmarin and secondly following the signs to the town centre from the top of the hill.
There is nothing shouted about with this town but we passed it in the motorhome and it looked interesting set into a hillside.
So we approached from the bottom and immediately impressed with the white stone new look town and fountain statue...which had a map of other statues/fountains/lavoirs which have an interlinked water source designed to stop the women having to walk too far. We set off to see some of them and began walking uphill.
Eventually getting near the top I noticed a beauty spot no more than 10 yards from us (vertically) according to mapy.cz so we walked up following the footpaths til caves started appearing at a car park with mh parked outside
Carrying on walking to the top we weren't expecting what looked like a Roman bath or square ampitheatre with a view
Then a bridge over to the presumed viewing point
But a stroke of luck in that prior to going over the bridge some steep steps were spotted and Paula showed the way for photographic purposes only
But she then returned as I went down to explore. She found a window but took far to jump down whereas I found interlinking cave rooms and a tunnel network with more steps and wells and roof lights
We met back up by use of phone as we didn't have a clue where the other was and found more tiny tunnels and rooms and the views
We found a quicker way to descend and the town just kept giving
