Having filled out Bosch batteries at the TO with free electricity we descended the hill to le veloroute du cavalon (voie vert thread) and into Apt, the capital of the Luberon with the river as dry here as every where else.
The town is just one main street of narrow high houses with a cathedral that was well hidden.
There is a park house which is to do with the ochre area just north of Apt and we cycled out to Gargas to explore but there was nothing of note bar a fairground visiting.
There is also a free candy fruit museum but we didn't see it.
Not a lot to shout about for Apt apart from the only plan d'eau in the area. But it was a bit weird. Normally you have a lifeguarded section marked out with bouys and you can swim anywhere but bathing was forbidden apart from in the lifeguarded swimming pools in the photos.
Plenty of other things for kids including a shooting up set of sprays where most people went. There is a paid for inflatable obstacle course and the CCP was there and not one motorhome
