Well - here we go, just took delivery of the 7 inch truck Satnav I ordered. I hastily opened the large, well packed box and here was the piece of paper which 'greeted' me,,,,,,,,,,, I am really looking forward to the use instructions but I had to have a break and may even have a few large whiskeys before I get tangled up in the instruction manual.

Here it is, copied in the famous 'foreign' font.

The very best of luck with that.
I had a truck friendly Garmin until last year when suicide or disposal were the options.
Whilst in France and had the kit fully set up as a truck it took me up a mountain pass and after 2 miles the road became 6'6"" wide. A reverse back to the first turning point was over one and a half miles. Fisrt step was to bin the Garmin and use the maps.
Bought a non truck system and since then have had no problems, upto now.

Not so much the instructions, more like when I put the postcode in and start driving..... and it kicks off.

"Ding twang hua eepay dwooarrr ping schwar dee inn dip - 49 n lice".

I can just imagine it now - I put in postcode for Birmingham and the box shows 3653miles, 16days duration, and tolls in France, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Kurdistan and finally on six main roads to Beijing.

Lord help us - so far it's been worth £50 for the fun factor - it's now on charge and so far no hissing, fizzing, bangs, smoke or strange smells - as yet. I have also 'attacked sun shade top on machine'....... so all's gone tickety-boo so far.

i was going to suggest going to the local chinese takeaway and ask them to translate whilst your order is cooked. but it seems we have a native mandarin speaker on the forum:thumb:

Latest update - really seems a good bit of kit and hopefully I shall have a manual that's in English soon too. I hope to give you the full SP once I get sorted, being 'nagged' at whilst playing with "your new toy" at the moment so not tonight.

Just tried it out in the drive though, first verbal instruction "Turn Light" so it does speak English,,,,, of a fashion. 'What light' was my first thought but when 'Fay' (the female voice) then told me to 'Turn Reft' I got the lingo and started to understand what was going on. 'Petlul station 200 meters' 'Loundabout ahead' etc. 'Take second light'.

This is better than any comedy but as said earlier it is packed with systems, just hope the English manual will help me get the most from it.

Will update fully when the nagging stops.

Thank god i,m not on my own this morning ,its now on charge 4hrs watching the red blocks cross the screen waiting for them to turn blue ,after spending 1 hour trying to fit the sun shade .Now ready and waiting to start a long day trying to understand how things work .I have built tower blocks,bridges,full housing estates with less trouble than i have had up to now lol,these things just seem to blind me with science .I know i am in for a long long day and going on a trip tomorrow something tells me my Tom Tom will be lurking in the car.lol
