Hi All ,

After some advice…

I have booked a trip for myself and my daughter to the 2025 Spa Grand Prix in July.

I read a lot of contrary things online so wondered if anyone has been? And has any tips?

Booked the Green camping and have the cheap bronze tickets.

Thanks

Daniel

We did it last year with two Motorhomes we paid for Electric and upon arrival it wasn’t available. We approached a nearby house who let us use a socket for a few euros €. It was a trek to the track of 2 km but it was a brilliant weekend. We all took folding chairs but on race day we got to the track at 6.30am as it gets so busy.

Thanks 10tenmen

Did you stay on the official Spa campsite ?

That is what we are booked into.

Sunday seems ans early start , but essential to get a good spot ?

Hi Daniel. We stayed here
Yes if you aren’t In a grandstand you have to get there early. We sent two people to get our seats set up and then took them breakfast sandwiches lol

Hi All

Thanks for the replies - looking forward to it.

We are booked in the green camping , hope the access and traffic is ok Friday AM when we arrive - and Sunday PM when I plan to leave.

I think my Grandson and myself are in green camping. We've never visited before. He's really into it personally I'm not. We got the offer that has the pit walk and grandstand seats. We plan to arrive Wednesday eve and start waiting inline.
He's also hoping to meet Ollie Bearman as his Aunt works with his Dad. And she's trying to sort something. Ollie sent him a Birthday card so he's already been lucky

Nice !

I am currently on tenterhooks I we can go , as I have been in hospital with a severe case of pancreatitis, and am having surgery Tuesday to remove my gallbladder.

Surgeon says should be ok, but no guarantees …

Great track hope you enjoy if you didn't fancy camping we drove over and stayed at the youth hostel in Malmedy you can then drive to the track or book a taxi only 15mins away and a great hostel just another option for anyone who is interested.

Just to see the track is jaw dropping, never mind any racing, but u can’t walk the whole circuit, do a pin drop on google maps on your camping location before setting off to the circuit, it can be busy trying to get out on a Sunday, brilliant atmosphere 👍🏁🏁🍺

Good News my missus worried I'll make 4 days as I've had knee replacement. And although it's a success and almost pain free. It's highlighted my other knee and a few other niggles.

Oh well I'll get some practice in at FOS this weekend.

May see you around enjoy

Good News PORKSTER

I get the all clear to drive hopefully tomorrow, working on getting mobile this last week and able to get in and out the campervan bed 😂

Luckily they managed to do it all keyhole plus (as surgeon called it )

My son and I went last year. A few things to bear in mind:
The camping areas are really spread out and in lots of different places, green camping can be up to a couple of kilometres from the track entrance.

If you are in the camping up near the track take earplugs, lots and lots of partying with massive speaker setups.

It's very hilly both in the area and around the track.

Arrive with full water and empty cassette.

We had a Saturday of torrential rain and a Sunday of blazing 30 plus sunshine so plenty of wet weather gear on plenty of sunscreen.

It's VERY busy and the best spots get taken really early, if I was going again I would definitely book grandstand seats at least for the Sunday.

Fanzone is worth the trek to get to.

Enjoy 😍

Friday arrival should be fine, they are very organised.
Sunday will be very busy, we stayed over and left early Monday

Thanks Itsmcb !

I hope we are not too far away from the Bronze area, deckchairs planned but given my current health the child may have to carry them .

I have been reading all the tips - ponchos, extra water, extra toilet cassette, grip mats, ear plugs etc.

We plan on arriving either late Thursday PM/ early Friday AM after stocking up at Calais Supermarket and leaving early AM Monday, to go off on our summer holiday from there.

I have my tickets now , and it seems an allocated pitch, but no way so far of knowing where that is...

Daniel.

Well we made it !

M25 and M20 and DFDS did their level best to delay us, but all set up for afternoon in a good spot !

Camping green 124 - hope it doesn’t rain too much ! As getting back out could be fun …

Brilliant. Great spot! Have a fab time, we're watching from home.

Hope you have a great day.

As they say no such thing as the wrong weather just the wrong clothes 👍😊

That looks like the same spot we watched the race from last year. Slight change in the weather though. View attachment 1093202
Yes - we got up at 05:30 to get right infront of the fence.
