Looking
Hello,

Looking at buying a 2011 Elddis 145. The MTPLM is 3300kg on this model with 475kg payload unladen.
Is there anything to stop me uprating the max weight to 3500kg? Other models in the range are 3500kg and are on the same van base.
Thanks

Speak to SV Tech
And then to Van Weight Engineering [VWE]. Who will almost certainly give a more cost effective price.
Best email them with your details, Dee will then call you back with a list of information he needs to comply with your request.
Mike.

Having dealt with both SV Tech and VWE recently, my vote goes firmly to VWE.

Interestingly, we wanted to up plate our Ducato based PVC from 3500kg up to the max possible without modifications and SV Tech were adamant that 3700kg was the max possible, whereas VWE said we could achieve 3960kgs without mods and supported that with a chart of axle weights and tyre specs etc.

As we decided to part ex our Malibu instead, VWE are liaising with the dealer of our forthcoming new MH so that up plating can be done before we collect it. The van will be supplied with the paper based up plating when first registered. This is awesome.

VWE are just a small business run by a well qualified professional engineer and they are giving us exemplary service. They are cheaper than SV Tech too!

In agreement with above posts - you need to ask this question to VWE and they will answer you (for free!) then if you decided to get it done they will do all the paperwork for you for a reasonable price.

What axle weights are given on the original chassis plate?
