Paul Merton and Suki hitting the roads again.

If I knew nothing about campervans/motorhomes I think the advice from one of the experts to hire before buying probably made it worth watching.

I think many of us may have seen Bradley and Barney on their RV trips also Gino Fred and Gordon in motorhome trips, love em or hate em I found them entertaining as I have with Paul and Suki.

Yes, to be fair, that was a sound piece of advice from an actual owner/user.

As a program which had motorhomes in it the episode was poor. The only clips seemed to focus clipping hedges and bushes. It was more of a travelogue for things to see in Cornwall which moves further north the next time. It is on a similar theme to the canal barge programmes and the aged comics and soap "stars" in 2 motorhomes. Cheap tat to produce.

Nope Cornwall is fine leave Frinton to us locals 😉👍
You know what apparently appeared at Colchester station years ago……. The platform sign “COLCHESTER…..and underneath “Harwich for the continent” Some wag had written underneath “Frinton on Sea for the incontinent”

P.S. I lived in Holland on Sea for many years

I’d like to see them doing the NC500 in its entirety

Watched The Slaws do it on YouTube. No need to watch anyone else do it. The programme in question is a tv show. Simples.

I’m thinking of punting my idea for a real life motorhome series . A couple of miserable gits sit in their Motorhome watching Paul Merton & Suki slagging off their every move before retiring to bed at 9pm and then moaning about the noise on their campsite .
Do you think it’s got legs ?

You're a day late Dave #10.

Think of the program from someone that knows bugger all about caravaning or motorhoming.

They could on the programs image and recommendations spend thousands and potentially loose out and then say well that Merton and his wife did it.

Naaaa sorry wrong image of the hobby to be a program even if some people think it’s a joke.

If they are going to do a series 3 do it right and promote the program and hobby in a positive light not a half arsed attempt.

Good points. I am not a fan of Merton. His wife Suki would be more watchable on her own so she doesn't have to laugh at Merton's wibblings. Channel 5 should also find a comedian who is actually funny. Or get a better script writer. Preferably both.

Too much time was spent on crab fishing. Susan Calman does that kind of travel show with her tiny Bambi a lot better than this.

At the end they ran over the unshelled cooked crab, and expected viewers to take on trust that Paul and Suki enjoyed eating it afterwards as claimed, because that scene wasn't shown. I rather suspect they chucked the crushed crab mess in the nearest bin and sent for fish & chips instead.

Well i like it, so far it has been fairly harmless fun, and the 'testing' is hilarious, but then I do have a sense of the ridiculous, it is a welcome light hearted break from all the doom and gloom on the TV at the moment.
Particulary enjoyed last nights episode as it showed so many of the places we had visited and brought back happy memories.
Well I enjoyed last night's episode as I did the previous series. It's light hearted entertainment and I enjoy their banter.
Me too.

Channel 5 9pm. They are in the Cotswolds tonight....woohooo
Oh the dilemma….. Harry’s ITV interview or Paul Merton’s genuine tales of motorhoming life? I think I’ll go down the pub!

He’s a bit of an annoying k..b who thinks he’s funny.
He’s not.
Does he ever drive the MH or leave it to his poor suffering wife, who deserves a medal imo. Shan’t watch it again.

Not sure I can take much more of him.
