Well......IT'S STARTED:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

We have emptied the house...
Tenants on their way in...
RV filled, packed and started...
...and we're off :BigGrin::BigGrin::BigGrin:

Currently in Oswestry, treating the RV to some new tyres at Brian Evans tyre depot in the morning.

Then 'darn sarf' to meet up with some friends who we are crossing with (so three RV's and a fiver in convoy!) from Portsmouth to Santander (so that'll be another 23 hours in the cabin for me :Rofl1::Rofl1:)

Then down through Spain for the winter and we'll be back when the snow's gone and the sun has got it's UK visa back :Rofl1::Rofl1: :thumb::thumb:

Will you miss us? :Wink:

Bryan & Suzy

Good lord Bryan your going before the swallows.

The annual migration gets earlier each year.

Have a good trip both, think of us poor dabs in the cold and wet xx

Safe travels, make sure our plot, 140 has concrete slabs on this year and we'll be down in December, away from the cold and snow :Rofl1::Rofl1::thumb:

Safe travels all of you, we expect you to be fluent and able to give lessons in spanish on your return Bryan, so you better catch up with suzies language skills. Above all enjoy

Wish you a wonderful winter in the :sin:

Who knows who might turn up:Wink::Smile:

There I was waiting patiently at DOVER looking out for bryan and susies RV

Ive practiced me running and the hiding under the rear wheels

Just to find I should have been

AT PORTSMOUTH

So much for stowing away to have a mega funster holiday

I will have to try harder next year - in the mean time I am hitchhiking back to london as I wont make it to portsmouth before they catch their ferry.

:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

:Sad: I wish we had a plot down there, that needed slabbing. :Wink:

Have a great time Bryan & Suzy. Next spring, it'll be one down, with nine to go. :Wink:

Have a safe trip.

All the best,

Jock & Rita.

See you both in December. :thumb:
You could have a look for us as well to make sure they have slabbed pitch 22 for us.:BigGrin:

Will you start the FB group again Bryan? .... that way we can keep our eye on you. :Rofl1:

I intend to be with you for the month over Xmas & New year.

Going to travel down slowly taking couple of weeks and same on return:Smile:

Any sites open throughout the year on the way through France would be nice to know in December.

Hi John,

I think that perhaps Link Removed, may be your best bet if others can't recommend certain camping sites, and as it is out of season, you'll get the best deals.

Good luck with the search.

Cheers,

Jock.

Do you have the Acsi book for 2011 as i believe it includes the spanish section, if you dont I could check it out for the Zahora route thaT you will be taking

Yupp got Camping cheques and ASCI but not good at searching out all year sites:Doh::RollEyes::Blush::Blush:

Done the route quite a few times in summer months.

hi John , let me know the route and if I can help in any way I will try and find out for you, or maybe other funster's who have already done this route may be of help ...

I already mentioned this on the rally post, but this is our pre-opening offer: as we open the 11/11/11, until the end of november, 2 adults on a comfort pitch for 11€/night (leccy included) So if there is someone who is around the area and wishes to try the campsite you are more than welcome!

La Rouleta (spelling?) near St Jean de Luz on the N10

La Futerist close to Poiters and Futuroscope, once again just off the N10

If going via Salamanca Hotel Regio.

Great Site !!

You have got to stay at Parc Verger on the way down, close to Limoges and Oradour sur Glane, run by Bob and Di, both funsters so you get a discount :thumb: I will probably be staying there on my way down late November !! Stephen..:thumb:

I can do 500 miles a day but don't want to.

Keith both these site are great, would you do it in these 3 stages?

Finding 365 sites in the winter not so easy.

Huge thanks for this so far.

On my own and nice suggestions like this are really welcome

We do the aires John and I have seen the odd caravan on but as I'm sure you know caravans are not normally welcome.

You can see our run down last year HERE

The FUN RUN to the SUN has been DONE!

Well, here we are - all set up...finally! lol

The sun has been shining since we got here and today it hit 28 in the shade.

Made my first trip to Leroy Merlin and MediaMarkt today but didn't buy a thing.
Not too concerned though, as it won't be my last visit this year as I'm sure all the guys have already guessed ;-)

I did find a fabulous electronics shop in Chiclana - well worth a visit if you miss Maplins when out of the UK.

Suzy has been at the site swimming pool today, taking full advantage before they close it for the winter.

Had a problem with hot water when we got here, fine when heated by gas but stone cold when using the electric hottrod. Luckily it was only a loose 12v connection so no expensive bill...this time :Wink:

Bryan

Never mind your pitch, :BigGrin::BigGrin:

Is mine set out in the european or english door side :thumb:
