Wanted Electric Brompton Bike Wanted

Hi, we too have Bromptons but we have added Swytch electric kits on to both and we now get assistance for 50 miles (pedalling as well, obvs. They just released a new, lighter kit last week. Brilliant!
We bought a Brompton Electric bike but found it heavier and you couldn't change the assistance level on the go without having to lean over the handlebars.
Also, Swytch allow you to add an optional thumb throttle which is brilliant as you can have assistance set to zero and just add it as you need it. Perfect.
(and we love ours as they are light and go in the locker or on public transport).
Don't buy an eBrompton, add Swytch to your lovely Brommies!!

I’ve messaged Andy at Woosh, unfortunately they don’t have any Brompton kits in stock (awaiting delivery of one of the components). Hopefully they will be back in stock soon. Thanks for your input. Best wishes Martin

You’re very welcome. I hope that Andy can sort you out soon. There’s no doubt that the Swytch kit is an extremely clever design, but it just never, ever delivered. With the Woosh kit there’s a battery case that you mount on the handlebars too. It’s a bit more clunky than the Swytch version, but the whole system works really well and doesn’t impede the folding.

The Swytch kit works great and it allows the normal folding exactly as Brompton intended. We have had several Bromptons and also another non-folding bike that we converted. All brilliant and so good that we won't sell the Bromptons.
