What is the combined weight on the Svotter and carrier?

I would say around 170kg but you would need to satisfy yourself with this. The scooter weighs 115kg and I estimate the rack weighs around 50kg.

Does the bike rack mount on the tow ball, or onto the chassis please?

Hi Trev
It is mounted via the 2 large bolts that usually hold the tow ball in place. On ours it was a simple case of undoing the 2 large bolts, removing the tow ball and bolting on the rack.
