Not a 32" but we bought an LG 28" from Currys, it had the inline transformer to 19v. I had a step up transformer to use for my laptop, worked a treat. Great picture and didn't cost anything like a travel tv, I might be wrong but that was the largest they had with transformer.

We're thinking of upgrading our motorhome TV as we've damaged (don't ask!) our existing one.

Currently got a Ferguson (rebadged Cello) 24" and been happy with it so we're considering a Cello CS32WS01 32" Traveller (https://celloelectronics.com/product/32″-traveller-12-volt-smart-tv-with-freeview-play/).

Any Funsters got one of these and, if so, what's your thoughts on it?

Or, any other thoughts on 32" TV options?
I had a cello tv in the rear bedroom of my last motorhome, and although didn't get a lot of use I didn't have any issues. I am considering buying another ( same as you above) to replace the non smart alphatronics TV that I have in the bedroom of my current MH. So I too would be interested in comments.

I got a Cello for my rear TV. Works very well off 12V - bought the Smart TV - it's actually a LG in disguise and runs WebOS. Can even use a LG remote on it!

Cheers

We had 3 attempts at getting the 24" Cello at about £189 from online retailers, but we had 3 faulty units delivered. We gave up and got a 240v from Argos in end (the Bush 24" with inbuilt DVD and some smarts). It's not 12V but we have a solar battery thing with inverter already in the van. The TV is only 720p, but it is HDR, and arguably from van distances looks as good as our home TV. Uses 20w on the inverter, so our little 256Wh battery should last about 10 hours without any solar watching it, which works for us for an off-grid weekend if it's overcast. We treated ourselves to a Ecoflow larger battery inveerter at Christmas and should be able to run for 48 hours off grid now.. without any solar.

We plugged a fireTV stick into back of the Bush, total cost was £140 at the time last July (for Bush TV + firestick).

The summary being we gave up on 12V tv's quite quickly.

Broken Link Removed is the TV we ended up with, but although not listed in spec sheet, ours had a DVD player in back. Can confirm it's also quite good at tuning for best signal as it has a live signal meter by multiplex so you can check all the frequencies in use in your area and tune so "all of them" get good signal before using he TV. Takes about 3 minutes to tune on visit to a new site.

Had a 19" Cello Traveller in the last van and have 22" in the current van, never had any problems with them, current one is coming up for 7 years old.

If you buy a Cello make sure you buy the Traveller version it has a much better viewing angle and a stabilised 12v power supply.

Sorry, but your wrong.
20w on a 256wh battery would be around 6 hours bringing your battery down to a bit over the recommended 50% discharged plus inverter losses.

Instead of a ‘dedicated’ 12v TV I bought a 240v mains LG Smart TV/Monitor that actually runs on 19vDC via a supplied 240v PSU on a 3 pin plug.

It’s a simple installation using a readily available 12v to 19vDC laptop type power supply with a ciggy socket plug (can also be wired to any Moho 12v supply) and works really well as standalone or with a Firestick.

Argos have a similar 28” model on offer at the moment for £199.99.

Broken Link Removed

PS. Other manufacturers/ models may be available but check that they have a similar ‘external’ power supply rated at 19vDC.

It's a lithium battery, so can go to 0, which is actually 10% fine.
We have tested it as slightly over 10 hours ... already.

Our Ferguson (rebadged Cello) is the equivalent of a Traveller and we've been very pleased with it, and as you say, particularly for the viewing angle and stabilised 12v supply.(y)

We are / were thinking of seeing if a 32" would fit and Cello have responded within the hour to questions on the weight / vesa mounting position on the back.(y)

If the 32" doesn't fit we would be thinking about the 24" version of same.

But, and it's a big but!, following in the footsteps (albeit miles behind) of an awfy resourceful fella called Lenny, I tinkered about with the Ferguson and it's working again! (but for how long!)

Well, our current TV seems to be on the blink again.:crying:

So, we're back to considering replacement and it's definitely going to be a Cello 24" (CS24WS01) or 32" (CS32WS01) Traveller.

Problem we have is that we're not sure if the 32" model will fit to our existing TV wall bracket in the current space.

Does any Funster have one of these 32" (CS32WS01) Traveller's that could possible measure the positions of the VESA bracket screw holes on the back (down from the top and in from the side) so we can see if it would fit under the overhead cabinet above our current location?

Looking for a 32". Don't think there is a Sharp equivalent.

That's the last years model of the one we're looking at. I can get the 2024 model for £185.(y)

Obviously, if it will fit to the existing mounting bracket in the space available hence my question around the position of the VESA mounting holes.

Just a tad..
I didn’t get a Cello or Ferguson 32” because they are only 720 not even 1080 HD…. Something to be aware of…

I am still looking for the perfect 4K monitor with off board power supply, but they don’t exist! 😢

Doesn't really bother us as we're used to same with existing TV.
Just really need to figure out if the 32" will fit.
