Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Katowici, and all in between.

The Salt Mines, Auschwitz, Birkenau, Warsaw Ghetto and Jewish Quarter.

Lots to see and do but be aware they don't drive like we do.

They will overtake, coming onto your carriageway, expecting you to pull onto the road edge to avoid a head on collision, but you get used to it.

    I am going april/may 13

hi, I am going to Auschwitz, Birkenau, Warsaw Ghetto and Jewish Quarter etc in april/may 13 so can give you some feedback....including the campsite at Auschwitz.

Possibly true about the roads being empty, I was at the east germany- poland border a couple of years ago....the whole place was empty.:Eeek:

If the poles drive anything like the the Russians should be interesting......

Welcome to the house of fun and I hope you have a good trip to Poland.

I have never been with the van but may just get in to the North this summer.

I did visit a few years ago by train with rucksack (inter-rail ticket). To visit the camps I used one of the small minibus tours that picked up in the centre of Krakow. They weren't expensive, run by Students during their holiday and I don't think I would have wanted to drive after the visit.
