It would be great if this site along with CCC and CMC had some sort of text notification that could go out to all members when a Motorhome or Caravan is stolen. Imagine the amount of eyes scanning the roads checking vehicles as we wave.
I am not technically minded enough to know if this is possible but many on this forum will understand if the process is possible.

Could repurpose a text marketing system, though someone responsible (Jim?) would have to be the one to push the button to send the alert, else the possibilities for abuse would be legion.

Wouldn't be free, either, would cost something like 4p/message, but if everyone who signed up chucked a quid in to the pot ...

And you would have to be very careful if doing it in conjunction with CCC and CAMC to ensure the competition rules were not being broken.

And let everyone know when the alert was over?
No doubt the police would get no end of false reports of sightings.
