Does anyone know of a reputable breeder
    that may have one
    .(or have one themselves).

Or check the Kennel Union site for breeders approved under their Breeder scheme - breeders with the official seal of approval undertake to take responsibility for any puppy bred by them if the owner can no longer take care of it. They can also restrict any breeding by endorsing the pups sold as not for breeding, meaning their progeny cannot be registered.

Rescue Schemes are wonderful and do fantastic work out there, but for people who want a registered, pedigreed puppy, it makes sense to try to source one from breeders whose sole aim is not ££££££ and who are ethical and responsible.

They could try the Kennel Club sitehttp://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/services/public/findapuppy/display.aspx?breed=3082&area=0

Roger, if your friend is in any way undecided on the pros and cons of getting a puppy then I know of a little Bitch that they could borrow.

If they still want one after a couple of days with her then they MUST be really serious:BigGrin:

If you fancy a larger size dog try these
    http://www.rrwt.org/dogs.html
They will need 2 30~40 minute walks a day and you will get a great house/motor home dog.
