On my Pilote G650, all 3 skylights have a crack on the opening cover, varying in size, in the same position. One of them cannot now be opened, I think because the cracked cover is fouling on the roof. They are all cracked at the hinge position, UK nearside. Is this a known problem? Seems weird they've all cracked in the same spot.

The small one in the kitchen area in my Pilote 600 has also cracked, I can live without it although I would be interested in costs/difficulty etc if/when you replace.
I have read on the Pilote forum where someone replaced the same skylight three times :(

One has to ask, is it just Coachbuilt's that are affected, or are PVC's? Could it all be down to bodyflex??

They just screw on to the hinges I think?
The hinges are just plastic pins that push in. The push/lowering arm has to come off. That bit was easy the difficult bit was trying to get both shoulders and arms through a 400 x 400 gap. I did it on my own. Another pair of hands to hold the skylight in place/hand pliers or parts would be useful.

Does the cover come with the hinges then? I'd assumed you unscrewed the cracked cover and screwed the new one onto the existing hinges.

The hinges are male and female moulded into the clear lid and the main frame which are the interlocking with a plastics pin through them. Three of these on the 400x400. It comes with new pins and and a pin for the riser arm.
Open roof light. Cut the pin (it has barbs on the end) on the riser arm and pull out. Flip roof light forward. Pull out pins. Reverse with the replacement.
Wish I’d taken pics now!

If we have the same model skylight that's really useful, thanks. I suspect they may be different as my hinges seem to have screws fixing them to the cover. Slightly limited access but that's what it looked like. Picture to follow.
