Hi all

I really need help please.
My 2003 Peugeot boxer Avantgarde compass 100 2.0D 5 speed manual will not go into 1st gear

I need to source a new gear box , were would I find the identification number please so I can buy the correct gear box ?

Is it a case of just getting under the vehicle with a torch ? I’m not mechanically minded at all.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Yes I have the V5 and VIN identification but couldn’t see any info regarding the gearbox.

Good point about the cables ,I assumed the worse.

Ask around for a recommended garage or post your location on here for garages in your area, you’ll need someone to look at it if your not mechanical…

Yes we had the same van and it was always like that especially if it had been standing, we used to get underneath and spray the cables with wd40 and keep moving the gearlever until it freed off then put some grease on them and they would be ok for a while but they would go stiff again eventually.
