Hi all you pet lovers out there and just wondered if anybody out there knows of any friends or family that breed Jack Russells as we sadly lost our beloved little Ruby in March at the ripe old age of nearly 16 on the middle of March. She was our 3rd Jack Russell and we loved her dearly as we did all our lovely pets and it still upsetting for us as you pet lovers know as she was one of the family and went every where with us but I think we are now nearly ready for a new puppy in our lives because our house just is not the same anymore without those little pitter patter of the feet and all the fun and joy that Ruby brought to our lives. We are now both senior citizens and this will probably be our last little friend so we are both looking forward to finding our next little girl ! Many Thanks and stay safe everybody !.

Petsathome website have lots of dogs for sale , not sure of jacks. But beware , since lockdown, the prices have gone through the roof. A cross breed cockapoo is £3000.

I know of someone who bought a puppy at the start of lockdown for “company and something to do”. It hasn’t been socialised to people or dogs (for obvious reasons) and she is now worried how it is going to behave (it sounds like it has separation anxiety) as it hasn’t left her side since she got it and she now has to go back to full time work.

I think that there will be plenty available soon if you are happy to take a 2nd hand one on!

How very sad for the poor dog. Some people just don’t think past the days end. I agree with adoption

My mother was once told "old people need old dogs". I laughed at the time, but it has a certain amount of logic as there was no way my elderly mother could have dealt with a boisterous puppy or young dog. For once, she listened to the advice and didn't replace her elderly canine companions.

Look at Last Chance Rescue Romania. Lots of young Jack Russell cross dogs, all neutered, vaccinated, passports and transported to your door. 16 left yesterday for their new homes, my friend’s new dog is on the next transport in 2 weeks time. She’s about 9 months old ( the dog, not my friend!)
You‘ll be saving a dog from a sh** life, freeing up a place for a new rescue and helping a small charity for a reasonable price.

We got our last 2 when they were a year old 2nd hand (I won’t say preloved) and they are now 11 and really slowing up. We have discussed whether we will take on youngsters again in the future but think now we are a little older ourselves we might stick to elderly dogs who are still game for a good walk/play but want a slower type of life. Feel really sorry when you see these elderly dogs in rescue and no one want them because of their age. Saying that hubby always wanted a Italian Spinone so maybe one more puppy and some grandparents for it?

Wouldn’t be without these 2, went to buy a boy and ended up with his sister also😁
They don’t leave each other’s side.

Good luck with the search....you may end up with 2😁😁

We got them from a family in Storrington 12 years ago.
We went to see them and their Mum and Dad were running around playing with the family kids.
I was looking for a boy and see the little girl that was tiny compared to her 3 brothers so had to have her😁
Best thing we ever did as they keep each other company and love to play fight.
They do not have a bad bone in them and are so affectionate.

Good luck with the search, hopefully you will find a nice calm Jack.
Last one we had was mad and I wouldn’t want one of them again😬
