Pet Liability Insurance (1 Viewer)

Hi all. I'm looking for information about liability insurance for our dog for upcoming travels around europe. I can't see much online. Are such policies available?
Vet cover is desirable but not essential, but public liability is important of us.

It’s always been part of the pet insurance policies we have had. Currently I have John Lewis insurance . I was just reading there are two levels providing one or two million depending what level you buy.
I first noted this in the dogs insurance when I read that camp sites abroad wanted it. I’ve never been asked to show I have it!

You can get an 'Accident Only' policy which covers vets fees for accidents and includes public liability. Tesco do it, pretty reasonable.

Also, if you become a member of the Dog's Trust, public liability is included for free. £25 a year. Not sure if only UK cover.

You may have to take out a separate annual policy pay monthly and cancel if no claims made while away.
I have never seen single trip pet insurance.

I have just checked the dogs Trust policy. It covers worldwide for holidays up to 6 months. You must be resident in UK. It will also cover as many dogs as you may have and there is a half price olde fartes discount too. I have paid up.

It's standard with any pet plan cover.

Pet plan didn't cover liability outside the UK. Or at least they didn't when I asked them a couple of years ago. They will sell an extension at £12 per dog (again old prices) though I think that's just for a single trip.

Check your house insurance policy. They tend to have liability cover. Some is very specific to house type problems, some cover pretty much any liability anywhere in the world (except vehicle related issues).
