We bought our motorhome at the NEC last October & although we don't plan on changing (yet!) we do enjoy looking at all the new designs & innovations, gadgets & gizmos so planning a weekend trip to this years Motorhome & Caravan Show & wondered if any Funsters are also thinking of going by car & looking for somewhere to stay? Having checked availability & prices locally for staying with the motorhome have decided that for just one night for us it would be easier to travel by car & stay in the same hotel as we did last year. Not really a cheap option but very convenient & the best overall deal that we could find :) The Holiday Inn Express Broken Link Removed is only 1 mile from the NEC & breakfast is included although there is a £7 parking charge on top of room prices. Depending on how you search for their room prices they vary from £77 -£87 for Saturday 18th but we have a link that reduces it down to £65.45 if of interest to anyone? An ensuite family room with a double & sofabed sleeping 4 is the same price as other smaller rooms & gives best value as everyone gets hot & cold buffet breakfast included so can be full ready for a second day at the NEC or the journey home & no washing up! The restaurant next door is purpose built but styled as an old fashioned pub with log fires & the food was fine (menu & prices on their website) when we ate there in the evening last year - it was very busy so probably a good idea to book online in advance - . If you would like to be seated near to any other Motorhome Fun members in this restaurant then please add this as a special request on the online booking form - we are booked for 8pm(y) If this is of interest to too many Funsters for the Little Owl pub restaurant/bar area :LOL:then perhaps we could also congregate the Holiday Inn hotel bar/restaurant area a bit later as seem to remember that they have a large seating area?
