Don't know if we can go yet but just had email releasing dates for Practical Caravan & Motorhome (magazine) Rally at Stowford Farm Meadows in Devon & rang them for more details. The rally is from 1-4 May & is £48 including EHU plus any extra nights either side of these dates are £5 per night (again includes EHU
) . Last year this included a basic BBQ & cream tea too. Anyone can book these - you don't need to subscribe to the magazines. Last year extra nights were limited to a maximum of 7 extra either side but so far this year they have not set a limit. Could make an excellent base for a cheap Devon holiday or perhaps a good meet if any Funsters are interested? We went to this rally last year & although it wasn't as friendly as a Fun rally there were events & 2 lots of evening entertainment each night over the bank holiday weekend so add a few Funsters meeting up & could be great?! The site has excellent facilities including an indoor pool, bars & function areas, restaurant, fish & chips takeaway plus huge marquee for the magazine rally. Downsides are that over the bank holiday weekend the indoor pool will be busy with kids, the bar prices are not cheap, there is no bus stop or organised transport, road access is good via Braunton but other routes are not so friendly (watch out for overgrown verges
). Big green pleasant site though with lots going on especially with the rally, great facilities & a bargain price 
If you want to book then call Stowford to book the "Practical Caravan Rally" on 01271 828004 & if you want to be near other Funsters (you don't have to be!) then request Field 5 & mention Motorhome Fun as this is where they have the most hardstandings. Field 5 has the newest toilet & shower block & a great rural view but sloping in places so you will need to take ramps. Once booked please post on here with your names so other Funsters will know who to look out for. Hope we can go too but if we can't go we will update this thread & post any info. or help that we can
