No they are rolling 30 day contracts. But check your small print.

As Bolti said, 30 day contracts, cancel at any time simply by not renuing the offer.

I've been doing lebara offers since February and never had an issue yet

OK perfect , I wasn't sure , I took one out in September to cover my winter trip and assumed I had to keep it the year which I didn't grudge as effectively £3.50 a month. But I might just cancel it when I'm back in UK next spring

If you have the Lebara. App on your phone you can cancel from anywhere. You just turn off recurring payments.

Our Lebara 1p Sims are still going strong. Just starting our 4th month, (8 weeks of which have been roaming in the EU, and still no issue with hitting any Fair Use restrictions. Got another 4 weeks abroad to go). Best 6 pence I'll have spent all year when I cancel after month six.

You can set an alert specifically for Lebara this way:

Log into HotUKDeals & click on your avatar (top right) and then 'Alerts' in the drop down menu:

Next click on the 'Manage Alarts' tab:

Type 'Lebara' into the search box and press 'Create new alert' - you can set it to send you alert emails and also how 'hot' you want the deal to be so you don't get loads of stuff:

Used my 1p for 12Gb Lebara the last 2 months in France/Belguim/Germany/Italy. I had 6 sims. Each 12Gb lasted about 5 days so almost perfect for a month - then start again. Signal was excellent throughout the whole journey. No mifi router or anything - just hotspot the phone.

It was fun while it lasted but I've just had a message from lebara stating I'm exceeding fair usage and charges will apply after 15 days. Which is great as I'm in Spain and won't be back in UK for months yet so I'm now going to be struggling for data

That's bad news. To be honest, I was expecting the same during the three months I was away in Spain and France, but they continued to work fine.

Did you set a good baseline UK usage before you travelled? I made sure both our Lebara 1p Sims had been maxed out in the UK in the month before we crossed the channel.

The trick is to buy several non contract sims. We bought 6 cheap Lebara non contract data Sims and rotate them thoughout the month as soon as you hit your limit. (12 GB)

Just go buy a local data Sim now and use a VPN if you want to stream UK TV. I think we got something like 50GB for 15 euros last time we were in Spain.

Thanks for this post. I’ve been looking for a Lebara sim for a couple of weeks and they have reduced their offers to 3 months now. I’ve just ordered a 20Gb sim @ £1.99 a month for 3 months. Very happy with that to see if it suits my needs. Vodafone signal is the best where I live.
