Since 2005
I remember me and my brother loading a program on my ZX Spectrum.
Took us around 2 hours of typing things like ..
"If inkey string = 1 then go-to".......and so on.
It did nothing more than draw lines on a varying colour background

It’s all great when the technology works.

However about 2 years ago my firm had an internet outage for about 2 weeks and it was a bloody disaster.

Of course BT Openreach hardly covered themselves in glory

In the old days (1970s) it was rumoured that ICL (British computer manufacturer for you youngsters here) lost out to IBM because ICL couldn’t make a computer that didn’t leak oil. 🙂🪖

I came across a stash of old IT equipment in a council store room that had these large 5 1/2" floppy discs, they were windows 3.0 that ran off the floppy you didn't install in them days

You had to install early Windows 3.x operating systems.
MSDOS was needed to be running to launch them, let alone run them.
An installed Win 3 OS would be greater than the 1.44MB floppy.

Edit. Source & for later findings… :xrofl:

Only one person in ten understands binary, the other one doesn't.
A joke within a joke?
Or written wrong with nine unaccounted for? 🤪😛

“there are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who dont.”
