Hi

Anyone know the best way to stop the bolt on the picture unscrewing as we travel ? A drop of pva ? I’ve tried screwing it in but it still loosens itself. The lower ones are both tight.

The one in the middle btw, not the two that fix the plate in place.

Thanks

Peter

Locktite thread lock. Mild one so that it can be undone at some point.

Quote……The difference between red and blue threadlocker is a matter of strength and removability. Loctite threadlocker blue is designed to easily be replaceable with common tools, whereas red is a more permanent fix. If you have trouble keeping it straight, here’s a helpful rhyme to jog your memory: “Blue, easy to make new. Red, full strength ahead!”

Stick a bit of gas tape on the thread and screw it back in, that should sort it and I bet everyone has a roll of that somewhere…🙂

I had the same. There should be a small Allen screw above that screws down and holds the bolt in place. See picture. If it's not there then look around the area as it defo there somewhere

As Spawn_e_git says there should be a grub screw to lock it in place.

When setting up those strikers you need to get them right as in hot weather the body expands 2 to 3 mm if not set correctly the door can open onto the first latch when driving.
