I was hoping to fit a Milenco inside outside security Hab Door Lock to my hab door but unfortunately have no internal space around the door to do this .
Are there any other alternative aesthetically pleasing external only hab door locks that I could use ?
thanks all

What about this type

That is effectively what I fancy doing with our hab door, but I'd be looking to put a reinforcing strip of metal into the hab door also.

If your cab is fitted with an alarm, consider extending it to the hab door. I called an alarm guy out to do the hab door and the bonnet for a very reasonable price. Only downside is remembering to unlock the cab before opening the hab door, I think my neighbours are getting used to it now tho 😂

What Motorhome do you have I can supply a keep for the frame but they are not needed very often

Its a Chausson Flash 10.

I was going to add reinforcement to the frame of the door anyway. But my main concern is the flimsy actual door, so in the next couple of weeks I will take the door off, strip it down and see if metal angle, maybe 2mm thick, probably ali or stainless steel can be added on the lock side, top to bottom.

The door comes apart easily then I fit a marine ply locking panel to reinforce the door makes it solid

You'd need the reinforcement / packing piece for spacing as well perhaps ?

I had fitted a Milenco Multi Lock 2660 to my previous motorhome it worked very well, was neat and using screws as well as Sikaflex made it fully bonded .

https://www.milenco.com/products/security/recreational-vehicle-door-locks/multi-lock

It looks neat , just have to lock it in the open position when you are inside, to prevent someone inadvertantly turning it and locking you inside . It never happened to us, but just something to be aware of. I can only see it on the Milenco website now rather than Amazon.

I will be looking to fit something similar to my Chausson 788 whenever it arrives ( 11 months and counting ) I would like to one that allows you to lock from within, but I am not sure if there is enough space / wall on the inside of the van. There wasnt on the Pilote hence my choice of the 2660. Just a though.

Similar thing, but a lot cheaper.

I agree but the problem is most Motorhome doors are more than 70mm thick
