A fox in the field backing onto us was out to catch their supper this evening.

There were two rabbits in our back garden and one in the field fairly close to the fox that we are sure that it saw, but maybe the fox was old and wiser and knew it would be outrun.

Must have been small, he eat it on the spot.

We presume it was a mouse or something of similar size. As you say, it was consumed on the spot

The rabbit definitely won the staring competition
