Comparing Apple Translate and Google Translate apps (1 Viewer)

Has anyone managed to make a recent comparison of these two apps?

No but I will do on our upcoming Spanish trip , I’ve only ever used Google translate so will be an interesting exercise. Will keep you updated as we travel .

I have just returned from Spain and France and have used Google translate app so can only speak of this. I found it very good especially the camera bit which is great, you just hold your phone over the writing and it translates it. Handy when reading products in the supermarket. I don’t know if the Apple app has this facility.

Has anyone managed to make a recent comparison of these two apps?

Never done an actual proper comparison but Google translate works very well for me (pixel 7a) and Apple (iPhone 12) works just as well for Mrs JRT.

I guess it's a case of what you are used to.

Do either of them translate American English, or other foreign languages, to UK English?
