Not made a cigar box guitar but why do you need a kit. All you need is a cigar box and a stick of maple for the neck.....plenty of plans out there.

Must be easier than a neck-through, hollow body, 12 string......

OK, so as this was my industry in a previous life, I can advise that a GOOD traditional Tobacconist will have a plethora of quality Cigar boxes within their possession.
You could try :
Black Swan Shop, Scarborough.
Black Swan Shop, Whitby.
Black Swan Shop, wakefield.
Smoke King, Otley.
GQ Tobaccos ( Pipe Rack), Newcastle Under Lyme.
Gauntleys Tobacconists, Nottingham.
Turmeraus Tobacconists, Liverpool, Chester and London.
Holmes Cuban Cigars, Long Eaton, Nottingham.
The Lincoln Watch Clinic, Lincoln.
Cigar and Snuff, Covent Garden.
Plus many more.
All are fairly prolific sellers of high quality Cigars, and naturally, will have quality Cigar boxes suitable for conversion into a Cigar box guitar.
Of the guitars I have seen made, some are 4 string, and some 3, but not seen personally a 6 string.
Most charge a small fee for their boxes, as they tend to use them in their shop displays, but they often end up with quite a surplus.

Oh, ..... and most of the names listed have web sites and online purchasing, and I have no allegiance to any of them any more having retired from the tobacco, Cigar, pipe and sundries supplues and manufacturing industries over 3 years ago, so please do not think I am promoting their businesses or smoking.

Bumped into the Rev between his gigs at Upton Blues one year, he came over and made a fuss of the whippets, he seemed a nice down to earth sort of guy.
