Hi All,
I have found a few posts about the Burry Port stopover, however as I live in the town, I thought a bit more info may be useful for funsters.

Night Rate £7
It is a hard standing area adjacent to Burry Port Harbour Masters office.
Room for at least 10+ units
Fresh water on site.
Public toilet 50 yards away, can be used for chemical disposal.
Further Public toilet on other side of harbour with shower facilities (approx 300 yds)
Yacht Club and Cafe on harbour.
Sandy Beach within 50 yds.
On the Millennium Coastal Park with excellent walking and cycle facilities.

Burry Port town centre nearby with all normal town facilities and railway station.

For photos have a look at the album on my profile

Cheers

Sounds good - is it £7 all year & who should be contacted to book or just turn up? Anyone know of any other good stopovers or CL sites in that area as one of our favourite areas.

Does anyone have address or gps coordinates for stopover?

Hi All,

This is the location of the entrance to the site shown on google earth.

51°40'44.17" N 4°14'49.65" W

Navigating to the site initially follow signs to the Harbour from the main road (A484), then follow the LONG STAY parking signs ignoring the brown caravan signs.

You do not need to book, just turn up, do not worry if there is nobody in the Harbour office they have told me they are very relaxed about how and when folks settle up.

Cheers

We have been going to Beautiful Burry Port for years, it is one of our :thumb:favourite spots:thumb:

Go into the harbour masters office, book in,£7.00, ask him for a ticket to show that you have paid,to display in your windscreen, then park up on the pay and display car park overlooking the beach all day, normaly £3.00,going into the stopover behind the car park for the night.
:thumb:Best deal ever :thumb:
Right on the beach, some of the best ever cycling tracks
We spend quite a few lazy days just watching the tide go in and out
:Cool:Oh for those summer Daze!!!!

Never used it but :crying::crying::crying:
I guess its the same old story, people staying too long, and taking the mickey by not even visiting the harbourmasters office to pay their dues.
When will folks learn to do the right thing, before its lost to all.:swear:
Such a sad ending, now none of use can experience it, not the same as using a campsite, before someone mentions it.
