After hours of trying ( Office 7 issue ) (1 Viewer)

Perhaps its just me being a tired twat ( been sorting out a big problem with my forum for hours after a moderator screwed things up royally and am brain tired ) but can someone tell me how to change the default printer in Word 7
It keeps reverting to 'print to PDF file' and I have to change it to the the printer set as default in Windows every time

Do you use pdf rather than printing for a lot of stuff? If so and you've got a tick for "allow Windows to manage my default printer" then it could be overriding what you want, this is the setting on my version of windows, unfortunately I haven't got 7 on a machine so can't see if its on there too:

It is not Windows I have the problem with ( machine in question is running Win 10 ) it is Office 7 mate

I've experienced this problem and as suggested it is probably Windows over-riding what you set in Office. Check what default printer is selected in Windows.

If that doesn't work try one of these.

LOL !! Default printer is correct in Windoz and works fine in all other apps..
It is only in Office the problem strikes

Stand down folks ! Sorted......
Desperate measures and all that but........
Fired up word changed the default font, changed the printer for the doc and saved it normal.doc
Closed it down and opened again... and it worked !
