Hi all we use the tunnel to cross to France, I was looking into a ferry on the way back but its £805 one way with a cabin seems very expensive is there a cheaper way ? any adise would be great
We did St Malo to Portsmouth last year, misses out a big chunk of France and you get a long ferry crossing

Just to let you all know camping sites for the middle weeks of June around Dieppe are getting booked up quickly. Something to do with WW2 memorials.
There are some sites still with room but it’s suggested people be quick…

We are heading back from Caen on the 4th. Hoping to overnight in the Aire at Falaise the night before.
Most crossings from Normandy/ Dieppe seem to have increased prices first week in June as well.
Caen / Portsmouth & Le Havre/ Portsmouth were significantly cheaper than the Dieppe route when I booked.

Sat in The Commodore Lounge on The Galicia enjoying coffee and Portuguese tart whilst sailing serenely down the Brittany coast , no driving , no traffic jams , no tolls , no dodgy aires or campsites and no astronomical French prices .
Wifey has booked herself a facial treatment at the on ship Spa and Beauty Centre this afternoon prior to the A La carte fare in the restaurant tonight .
Must resist the temptation to begin access to the complimentary red , white and rose wine too early .
Might not be the cheapest option but what a way to begin our Iberian adventure.
More updates to follow if it all goes to ratpoo ……. or the free wine runs out 🤣🤣🤣
