206D Towing Capacity? (1 Viewer)

Hi All, I'm trying to establish the permitted towing weight of my 1974 Hanomag 206D camper. My data plate doesn't give an MTW. The space is blank.
If your 206D (or similar model) data plate gives an MTW could you let me have a photo of it please... private message if you prefer.

Probably wrong but if blank does that not mean it is unsuitable for towing... IE no train weight.?

Yep if blank converter does not approve it for towing.
You could contact VWE or SV Tech and see what they say and if they think it is OK they could issue a new plate.

Thanks Lenny HB. I'm already in touch with VWE and they haven't ruled out getting it certified. In fact it was them that suggested posting this question on forums!

Yep I was going to say that. Usually if blank it's not designed to tow

My vw autosleeper trophy was like that although I've seen those with brackets made somehow although the chassis ended a metre from the rear so wouldn't have thought it very safe

I don't unfortunately they're quite rare .

Going by the size of it I'd expect about 500kg max
