I am looking to get a heater for CB this winter but can not decide between Dimplex Coldwatcher 500w and the De'Longhi Bambino 500w

The De'L has more write ups but it seems the frost protection isnt to accurate and comes on at 10c it is oil filled
The Dimple has only a few reviews but better frost protection however seems to be a bar as opposed to oil filled.

Both are cheap to run and l only want to hold the cold off.

My other option is l think l can track down in the shed the old tube (possibly oil filled) that Brian used to use in Big Bertha however it is old so old it has gone past grey beard and now bald... you get the picture and l do not know how cheap it is that would be on all the time.

Any advice welcome please :)

On and off for many years.
Lidl had some cheap oil filled jobbies a couple of weeks back so may have some left - two sizes, we got the smaller one.

Tube heaters are not oil, they have a coiled element in the tube so should not be left unattended.

500w definitely needs a heat guard....I have seen plastic carrier bags melted onto them.

Link to argos 1kW heater can't see what else you'd need, other than a timer.
