It's possible that the plan may not be accurate, because we know that we have been moved from the original allocated spot. I don't know if the plan reflects that, but I suspect it does, mainly because where it shows us now, there is room for pretty much unlimited expansion.
Apart from a small overflow general camping area, there doesn't seem to be anyone else near us. Anyone would think we had a reputation for being a noisy bunch, given to late night partying & general merrymaking.
For the benefit of anyone who missed the booking cut off & plans to turn up on the day:-
From Lincoln, take the A15 northbound. Go past Gate 1, the main showground entrance.
At the roundabout, turn left onto the A1500 Tillbridge Lane. (Gates 2 - 5 will probably be shut, but if they are both open & manned, they lead directly to the FUN area.) The official campers' entrance is Gate 6. Through the gate, straight ahead, then turn left to get to the FUN area - but there will be bodies & signs pointing the right way. We are shown on the plan to be immediately to the north of the main exhibition area. We should have our own gate straight into the show, so long as they man it.
One green arrow marks Gate 6, the other is the start of the FUN camping area, assuming the plan is up to date. We then spread to the east of that point.

Anyone who would have liked to have been parked with FUN, but missed out for one reason or another should probably ask on arrival if they can go into the small General Camping area that is right behind us, next to the wood. The main General Camping area is over to the west of the roadway that runs in from Gate 6.

This is only our second MHF Rally so please excuse this if it a stupid question. The first one we went to was at Peterborough and a couple of weeks before Jim posted a copy of the welcome letter we would get, setting out the various MHF events during the weekend. This enabled the boss to ensure that she had done the correct baking and cooking needed so that we could join in. Will it be the same at Lincoln?

That Lady used to get the double skillet made in the UK, she would source the materials herself and take them personally to the different tradesmen to get them made and finished. There is a Chinese copy available but it's flimsy and melts!

Don't wanna highjack the thread or it to take a side turn, but I am bringing some Patricia Cornwell paperbacks to Lincoln, and a load of the thin, yellow National Geographic books dating back to around 1979. If anyone wants them please just knock on my door asap .... the NG books are brilliant for anyone interested in photography as there are superb photos in them. Regards, Joy

Had same problem at Malvern and I phoned Warners and they noted the change and gave me a reference number to quote if I was challenged for having a different number plate to that which I originally registered.

Both... Sometimes we go over to the tent area, others we join near friends vans and on Sunday last year I remember we all invaded the entertainment hall as it was free entry and they did 1/2 price beer...

Most people sort of mix and match. We paid for the entertainment at peterborough but didn't at others and not doing so this time either - huge fun in the Funster marquee anyway chilling, chatting and listening to the rather excellent Funster musicians who are pretty talented
