We're setting off tomorrow, over night this side of the Chunnel, then a night near Dijon, then down to Montpellier area for two weeks.
We tried to drive into central Montpellier in the motorhome last September and it was the most unfriendly motorhome city out! May have been just us, but it is a very 'green' city with trams darting everywhere, really narrow lanes and humongous kerb stones! We ended up driving off a dual carriageway into a hospital entrance, being told we were not allowed in even to turn round, and reversing back out onto said dual carriageway before putting any destination into the sat nav just to get out - never to return! The area around the city though, is beautiful!

As you say Montpellier can be difficult, some friends take us in their car to go, while we camp happily nearer the sea.

We should have worked it out for ourselves really - 1000s of MHs in the rest of France in September and we were the only one in Montpellier!

Heading for Andalucia later in September, and hoping to spend some time hanging around the SW French coast. Nothing definite planned yet apart from the ferry tickets.

Also going to the Braderie de Lille mega flea market in early Sept with an empty car and some Euros. Hoping to come back with a full car and fewer Euros.

Leave Devon Sunday morning for a couple of nights in Kent at a site... then catch the mid-day`ish ferry Tuesday..

Turning right when we get off the ferry and going along the coast to Brest then down the west coast before ending up at a get together with a few other Funsters at Parc Verger for a few days.. (y)

All welcome to a Cheese and Wine party at P.Verger on the 27th Sept..

Then up the East of France, into Belgium and weather permitting into Netherlands and back home beginning of Oct...

Or after P.Verger we may nip into Spain, Decisions, decisions..:D

Hi, All of you who are off to France this Sept I hope you have a great time & enjoy, i am very jealous only because this year we are off up north (lake district/dumfries/ north yorkshire) . Next year we will be over to France, so keep all your posts coming of where you've been and what's worth seeing/visiting , I will be avidly reading and making mental note of where and what to do next year.
