I'm taking the van in for it's MOT tomorrow, we always have the fridge on as we use it all the year round. So just wanted ask what you all do with your fridge/freezer when your van goes for a MOT? It will be off for about 6 hours, everything will be out of the freezer, will leave some milk in the fridge for a cuppa.......

Thanks in advance, Bill:)

That sounds OK, if the freezer has not been off since the last MOT this might be a good chance to defrost it and the milk will still be OK.

Ours is off for the MOT but we do park it up with the fridge and freezer off and the door ajar.

Good luck with the MOT etc .... you could leave it on gas, but tell the garage 'cos they may not like it on safety grounds. You could of course explain to the garage and ask if they can keep it on hook-up most the time it's with them.

Just turn the gas and the fridge off just before you leave the van. The fridge door will not be opened, so for just a few hours so the fridge will stay pretty cool. No problem.

good luck for the MOT.........(y)

Update on today's MOT......passed ok, needed a couple of minor things, reg plate bulb at rear, windscreen wiper blade, handbrake adjustment, brake shoes and cable adjustment......plus two new tyres(y)
Fridge left on gas was ok........thanks again to everyone for your replies.
