I thought if I had left my motorhome pluged in that even if my leisure battery was a little tired, all my electrics would work but when I checked this morning not enough power to turn internal lights on..... Is this possible ? by the way the EHUI light is on,on the control panel. I replaced the battery about 3 years ago Varta.

Is your charger working? Even with a dud battery, it should be enough to power up lights. Halogens can drain quite quickly, but others should be fine. I would test the charger and see if it has been charging or not.

Two questions: has this happened suddenly or has a weakening of 12V capability been developing over time; what type of charger do you have?

I may not have any bright ideas, but this info may help others to diagnose the problem.

If its on EHU then the EHU should provide power for the van plus battery charging. So he lights should work no matter what state the battery is in.

Are you sure that power is reaching the internal distribution unit?

Daft question... Is the charger on?

On my van you plug in a EHU and you get 240v.

Switch on the charger unit and you'll get 12 volt lights, pump etc. If charger is on you could remove the battery and the 12v and mains circuits would work from the inverter.

So are you sure the charger is on?

From the Burstner manual.
12V power suppy does not work in 230V operation.

Causes.
1)12V supply switched off
2)Battery cut-off switch on the transformer/rectifier is switched off
3)Charger module in the transformer/rectifier is defective
4)230V automatic circuit breaker has triggered
5)Jumbo flat fuse (50amp) in the living area battery is defective.

My guess would be that a flat battery is drawing too much charging current and has blown the 50amp fuse as in number "5"
anyway there is the list of where to look. My book does not list your model but I assume the electrics are much the same.
