started in a minivan 1970's when I could fit into it.
taken at the boro club weston-s-mare,the saints N sinners skittles team mixed through to the finals at torquay in september,thats me with 41,sponsered by butcombe this year should be a good weekend :D

Agreed. They should be in the air together towards the end of the week, weather permitting.

The Canadian crew had many a tale to tell of an event full journey.

No, it's a 10p piece, it was all we could muster between all the workers and the client with 2014 on it.

The tanner wouldn't have been minted in 2014, I imagine they would have stopped minting that around 1969 or 70, though we found a 1961 tanner in one part of the old works and a 1981 (penny) tightwad on the other chimney when the place was last re-roofed.

Whenever my firm topped-out we always used a half crown or a florin at least.
It must be an age thing, even the florins are the size of a sixpence these days! But don't they still make tanners these days, albeit they call them a 5p.

Term I learned recently, it was used to refer to trees near the tip of South America, was "flag trees". Very appropriate when you look at the trees in WM's picture.

I don't believe you're too young to remember that the tanner was 6d or 2.5 new-pence not 5new-pence, that was the shilling or Bob as in Bob-a-Job.:RollEyes:
